BANGALORE: A week has gone by since Sanjana was crushed to death. But 'woh saath din' haven't been easy for this unfortunate teen's close friends. And to say they miss her is only an understatement. Through phone calls, sms, online chats — they were in contact 24/7, till fate decided to put a full stop to it all.
"It's unbearable. Her memories clutter my mind all the time," says Kavya P one of Sanjana's close pals.
"Wherever I go, people ask me 'what happened to your friend?'" says a shattered Kavya, who used to fondly call her friend'Sanjana Beebi'.
Sanjana's friends remember her for being a diehard fan of Stephenie Meyer's Twilight Series. "She was the reserved kind, and also a voracious reader," her friends said.
Log on to Facebook and you'll find a community in memory of Sanjana. "Rest in Peace Sanjana,' say her buddies. In fact, Dookie Medis, another friend, has dedicated a poem to Sanjana: "It ain't even been five complete years, v r sittin here weeping wiping our tears, it ain's gonna be easy to drive these fears, v can still hear ur voice ringing in our ears, beggin u come back to this place."
Says Juveria Banu, her class mate,"You were a great friend of mine. And I liked you a lot, though I didn't tell you."
"You didn't deserve it Sanjana," writes another buddy, Siddharth Ramesh, on Facebook.
For some the tragedy is yet to sink in. "I don't know how I will go to school again. I'll miss her the most during lunch hours," says Pratyusha Das. "Leg-pulling sessions were common between the two of us. But she was never a quarrelsome person. I miss her every minute".
Hebbal Kendriya Vidyalaya where Sanjana studied will re-open on June 21. Once back to school, Sanjana's friends plan to conduct a small session to share feelings about their unforgettable friend.
