Criminal cases against 3 IAS officers

The state cabinet decided to initiate civil and criminal proceedings against officials including three IAS officers for alleged financial irregularities in construction of warehouses across the state. “Legal action will be initiated against three IAS officers — MV Rajesh Gowda, Jayavibhavaswamya and S Navin Kumar — and a few engineers,” said law and parliamentary affairs minister HK Patil.

Patil said there is evidence the officials indulged in irregularities in the Karnataka Warehouse Corporation project to construct 163 warehouses and 89 infrastructure works in 2016. He said only 87 warehouses and 40 infrastructure works have been completed till date.
