Bengaluru: Propelled by an all-round show by Shubhang Hegde, Cambridge Cricket Club stormed into the semifinals of the KSCA T20 tournament. In the quarterfinals at the Alur cricket stadium here, they defeated Social Cricketers by a commanding 72-run margin.
Batting first, Cambridge posted 163/8 with Hegde top-scoring with 45 and Chethan LR chipping in with a crucial 43. In reply, Social Cricketers were bowled out for 91 in 17.4 overs. Amogh S returned 3/10 while Hegde and Lochan Appanna accounted for two wickets each.
Swastic Union CC (1), Sir Syed Cricketers and Vultures completed the semifinal line-up.
