BANGALORE: Around 80 protesters, including former chief minister
BS Yeddyurappa and MP Ananth Kumar were taken into preventive custody after they tried to march towards Raj Bhavan from Mysore Bank Circle.
The bandh gave a platform to both the rivals in the ruling BJP to display unity. Yeddyurappa had dropped indications to quit the party as the BJP is not interested to make him the state chief.
He has blamed RSS and Ananth Kumar for his downfall. Both the leaders were released from Ashoknagar police station after they were arrested near CID junction on Palace Road.
