Bengaluru youth dies on birthday as truck hits bike

Bengaluru: A private company employee celebrating his 24th birthday with friends Tuesday died after his motorbike collided with a truck at Soladevanahalli, Chikkabanavara.M Pavan Kumar celebrated his special day near Nelamangala and was riding back home when the accident took place at 5.45pm. "Pavan sustained serious injuries on his head and nose. The truck driver fled the scene, leaving behind the vehicle," a police officer said.Cops didn't find a helmet near the accident spot. Pavan's blood samples have been sent to the laboratory to check whether he was under the influence of alcohol.
