Bengaluru woman dies in suspected washing machine electrocution
Bengaluru: A 31-year-old homemaker died due to electric shock, suspected to have been caused from a washing machine.The tragedy happened near Nelamangala, on the city outskirts, a day after C Sujatha, the victim, celebrated her 11th wedding anniversary. Police said Sujatha tried to switch on the machine around 8am when she allegedly suffered electric shock and collapsed. Family members rushed her to a nearby hospital, where doctors declared her dead.However, her relatives raised concerns over how she died. Sujatha's brother alleged the incident may not have been accidental and called for a detailed investigation.Sujatha was married to Chethan for 11 years and they have a nine-year-old son. Family sources said the couple had a minor dispute a few days ago, following which she went to her parental home and later came back.Chethan's family denied any allegations of harassment, maintaining they did not subject her to any distress. The couple celebrated their wedding anniversary Sunday and performed a pooja at their residence.
