The siblings stitch masks for those who can’t afford them — pourakarmikas and delivery boys among others — in their neighbourhood in Sadashivanagar The duo spends over four hours every day stitching masks. They have stitched and distributed over 150 masks over the past 10 days.

Navya, a Class 7 student, whose dad gifted her a sewing machine for her birthday in February, has always been passionate about sewing as a craft. “I have seen a lot of workers covering their faces with napkins or saris and realised not everybody can afford masks. The two work to a fixed schedule. “After breakfast, we get on to the job. We take some breaks in between for meals or play some games,” says Nirva, a Class 5 student.
