Bengaluru: Atharva Nawarange and Ayushi B Godse emerged triumphant in the U-13 boys and girls’ categories respectively at the MS Ramaiah memorial state ranking table tennis tournament organized by the Bangalore Rural District Table Tennis Association here on Sunday.
Despite a slow start, Atharva, who trains at Skies, came into his own as the match progressed and overcame Shashabk Keshav Rao 4-1 (8-11, 11-8, 11-8, 11-8, 13-11) in the title clash. In the girls final, Ayushi of BTTA, scored a hard-ought 4-1 (11-8, 7-11, 11-6, 14-12, 11-7) victory over Hiya Singh.
