BAREILLY: Two persons including the son of Uttarakhand education minister Arvind Pandey died in a road accident on NH-24 in Faridpur area of Bareilly on the intervening night of Tuesday and Wednesday.
One of his friends has survived this accident. However, his condition is said to be critical due to severe head injury.

Gorakhpur to attend a marriage ceremony on Tuesday midnight when his car collided with a truck coming from the opposite direction. Both the vehicles were overspeeding due to which Ankur and his friends were grievously injured. They were admitted at a private hospital in Bareilly where Ankur and Munna succumbed to injuries while Gyanendra Yadav who was sitting at the backseat of the car, went into the condition of coma due to brain haemorrhage.
Arun Dubey, who arrived at Bareilly with the family members of Ankur, told TOI, "Ankur was on his way to Gorakhpur from Udham Singh Nagar when his car crashed near Faridpur town. After getting the information about his accident, we immediately rushed towards Bareilly but Ankur and his friend Munna had already died. We are taking Ankur's body to his residence in Gulabhoj."
SHO Faridpur Ashok Pal told TOI, "After getting the information about the accident, we immediately rushed to the spot, rescued the victims and took them to the hospital. Two persons including the son of Uttrakhand's education minister died during treatment while one has survived with critical head injuries."
Ankur was the youngest son of Arvind Pandey and was unmarried.
