BAREILLY: The

Yogi government

aims to take steps to curb stray cattle menace within 100 days of its rule, said Bareilly's MLA from Amla and livestock and milk development minister Dharampal Singh here on Thursday.

Acknowledging that the issue of stray cattle is a big problem in UP, Singh said, "Gaushala land and pastures occupied by the land mafia will be set free. We will build a gaushala at every nyay panchayat area.”

The Yogi government will make gaushalas commercially viable by selling milk, curd, ghee, urine and cow dung.

The highway connecting Faridpur in Bareilly to Delhi is also in the list of projects to be taken up, the minister added.
