As per reports, students enrolled in Maulana Azad Inter College in Old City area will be turning up at Bharat Sewak Samaj Inter College in Bhojipura, around 20 kilometers away from the city, for their board exam, beginning February 19.
Similarly, students enrolled in Rajkiye Inter College in Kayara village will have to cover almost the same distance to appear in board examinations at PC Azad Inter College in Deelapeer locality in city.
As many as 263 students appearing in board examinations from Darbarilal Inter College Rithora will have to cover distance of more than 15-kms to appear in examination scheduled at PC Azad Inter College. It may be recalled that 1.35 lakh students are scheduled to appear in board exams from the district at 124 examination centers in district. Last year, there were more than 150 centres reserved for UP board exams.
Besides these schools, students of other institutes are also facing the same problem.

Education officials blamed shortage of examination centers for the allotment.
District inspector of school (DIOS) Ashutosh Bhardwaj said, “In comparison to last year, this year around there are only 124 examination enters due to which students appearing in board examinations might have to travel a bit longer than past years. During allotment of examination centers, we tried to facilitate a majority of students.”
With admit card already being issued and due to time constraints, it will not be possible to make changes, said Bhardwaj.
