The concerned land was under the possession of Rampur district magistrate. Both Fatma and Abdullah are currently SP MLAs. Former chairman of district cooperative development federation (DCDF), Sayyed Jafar Ali, is also an accused and an FIR has been slapped against him as well.
Speaking to TOI on Friday, Rampur district magistrate Aunjaneya Kumar Singh claimed, “Former chairman of DCDF Jafar Ali had illegally allotted a government property for Tazeen Fatma and her son Abdullah Azam after forcefully displacing the earlier tenant Gagan Arora from inside the building during the Samajwadi Party rule. The DCDF have no jurisdiction and authority to allot the property to Tazeen Fatma and Abdullah Azam as tenant because the district magistrate is the actual caretaker of the said property as per the revenue records.”
The DM added, “On the complaint of the revenue inspector Angraj Singh, an FIR has been registered against the offenders at Civil Lines police station. Investigation is currently on in the matter.”
More than 80 cases have been registered against SP leader Azam Khan with most of which related to land encroachment for Mohammad Ali Jauhar University.
