Fearing demolition of his illegally built house by “Yogi’s bulldozer”, a 40-year-old man in UP’s Rampur district filed an application himself and “appealed” to SDM Ashok Choudhary to bring it down. The house is built partly on a dried pond and graveyard, both belonging to the government.

MORADABAD: Fearing demolition of his illegally built house by “Yogi’s bulldozer”, a 40-year-old man in UP’s Rampur district filed an application himself and “appealed” to SDM Ashok Choudhary to bring it down. The house is built partly on a dried pond and graveyard, both belonging to the government.
During an “initial probe”, Ehsan Mian’s claim was “found to be true”.

Ehsan said, “We are staying in the house for nearly two generations. In our plot map, I recently found that the house was built illegally on the property of the Waqf and the government. So, I decided to file the application to demolish it.”
SDM Choudhary said, “Several homes in Mitrapur Ehrola village under tehsil Shahabad of Rampur district are built on dried up ponds and graveyards.”
