Bareilly: Jamat Raza-e-Mustafa organises ops for poor during Urs at Aala Hazrat

BAREILLY: In a first, Urs-E-Huzoor Tajushshariah will be organised on June 6 and 7 by the Jamat Raza-e-Mustafa at the Aala Hazrat dargah. A large medical camp for those in need will be set up in Bareilly. The dargah committee will organise 51 operations for cataracts and 30 other operations for people suffering from chronic diseases such as cancer. Lakhs of devotees are expected to pay a visit to the shrine during this period.

Farman Hasan Khan, national general secretary of the Jamat Raza-e-Mustafa and vice -president at dargah Aala Hazrat, told TOI, "This is the fourth Urs-E-Huzoor Tajushshariah. It will be celebrated under the supervision and guidance of the beloved son of Tajushshariah and Islamic chief justice of India, Mufti Asjad Raza Khan. This year, we decided to support those who lost their jobs or businesses and are suffering from diseases, unable to bear the cost of treatment. I have personally taken the responsibility for this pious work to ensure the timely treatment of 81 patients, including five cancer patients. Few doctors have also come forward to support the cause and have reduced their treatment charges by 30 percent."

"We are now focussing on ensuring the best medical and educational facilities for those who live below the poverty line along with the ones who are in need of support, irrespective of their religion. Our welfare society is also providing free coaching for medical and engineering entrance exams in Bareilly, apart from ensuring free computer education for girls to ensure a better future," he added.

Pappu Khan, who is suffering from mouth cancer, said, "After I was diagnosed with cancer, I lost all hope because there was no way to bear the cost of treatment. However, now my treatment has started and I have received my first chemotherapy session. I always had faith in Aala Hazrat and after this, I feel that I am blessed."

Nazma Fatima, who has a cyst in her uterus, is another patient whose treatment has started. Nazma comes from a poor background and her husband is a skilled labourer.
