AURANGABAD: The suspension orders issued against the two resident doctors of the Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH) in Aurangabad on Wednesday for alleged negligence and carrying out a 'wrong diagnosis' was revoked on Monday.

The committee comprising B S Khaire, Mangala Borkar, Anagha Warudkar, R S Bindu and S M Gadappa was constituted on Friday.
Bhople said, "As per investigations, it was revealed that resident doctor, Sumit Ajmera, was not involved in the treatment of the patient since he was posted in ward number 25 and the patient was undergoing treatment in ward number 26. Hence, he was not found guilty."
"The complainant - father of the patient, Shaikh Mikail, had alleged that due to the negligent attitude of resident doctor Nikita Kabra, the sonography report was wrongly diagnosed. But, as per the probe and expert opinion there are certain limitations in sonography and it is difficult to detect the cause of the disease in early stages," said Bhople.

He said that as per the head of the sonography department, Varsha Rote, in many cases there are chances that the disease which is in its initial stage may grow within few hours also.
Meanwhile, Mikail and the 'Rugna Seva Sangharsh Samiti' president, Rohit Thorat, have threatened to launch protest demanding action against the negligent doctors. Thorat said, "The Samiti members have decided to gherao the health minister Vijay Kumar Gavit, who is scheduled to visit the city next week."
Criticising the incident, Thorat said that the entire probe is an eye wash. "We have also demanded a probe into the matter and suspension of the head of the paediatric department," Thorat said.
