Civic schools in Aurangabad to get first-aid boxes

AURANGABAD

: More than half of the municipal schools in the city will soon be getting first-aid kits as a non-governmental organisation (

NGO

) has decided to donate the boxes.

On Monday, the NGO gifted 11 boxes to select schools in the first phase of their campaign, while the rest of the schools will be given the kits before the start of the new academic session. The city has a total of 77 schools run by the

Aurangabad Municipal Corporation

(

AMC

When contacted

Shirkant Kulkarni

, AMC’s education officer refused to comment on the issue, saying that all the school management committees have been provided with a contingency fund through which they are supposed to buy the kits. He added that with the NGO’s support, first-aid boxes with all necessary medicines will be available in the all the schools.
