30 injured as bus falls off bridge in Maharashtra's Parbhani

Around 30 passengers were injured as a state transport bus plunged from a bridge in Maharashtra's Parbhani district during its journey from Jintur to Solapur. The incident occurred when the bus driver lost control near Akoli in Jintur taluka, 500 km from Mumbai. Fortunately, no casualties were reported.

MUMBAI: At least 30 passengers sustained injuries when a state transport bus they were on plunged from a bridge in Parbhani district of Maharashtra on Wednesday morning, a police official said. The vehicle was traveling from Jintur in Parbhani to Solapur when the accident occurred.
According to a police official, the bus driver lost control near Akoli in Parbhani's Jintur taluka, about 500 km from Mumbai.

No casualties were reported.
"Around 30 passengers received injuries. They all are undergoing treatment in hospital," Parbhani's superintendent of police Ravindrasing Pardeshi said.
The injured individuals were first taken to a medical facility in Jintur and subsequently transferred to a government hospital in Parbhani city, the police said.
