Woman shot by dad-in-law in Faridkot

BATHINDA: Angered by getting his breakfast late and a trifle cold, an ex-serviceman shot dead his daughter-in-law in Kotkapura town of Faridkot. Sham Puri, 62, is a retired airman.
Neelam Rani, a school teacher, had to take care of her physically-impaired husband Manish and her father-in-law apart from her two children. Thursday being a holiday, she took her time preparing breakfast.So, when her father-in-law demanded his meal, she could not immediately comply, and by the time she did serve it, it had turned cold.
This led to a heated exchange between the two and Puri allegedly fired at Neelam with his .12 bore gun.
Police have arrested him and registered a case of murder and under the Arms Act."
