BATHINDA: The meeting between qualified but unemployed teachers and state education minister Vijay Inder Singla and education secretary Krishan Kumar remained inconclusive on Friday. In two-hour-long meeting, though the education minister gave verbal assurance of sympathetically looking into their demands, he did not give any written assurance.
In the meanwhile, protesting unemployed Surinderpal ended his 13-day-long fast to death but announced to continue protest atop mobile tower at Patiala.
ETT TET pass unemployed union state president Deepak Kamboj said during the meeting it was told that out of the 2,364 posts for ETT, the BEd pass candidates will also be considered. With it the rights of the ETT would be snatched. The association said that the thousands of posts of teachers were lying vacant and these needed to be filled with that the unemployment could be minimised.
