Elderly woman's purse snatched in Punjab's Nabha town

PATIALA: Three days after three snatchers on a bike snatched a purse from a middle-aged woman and one of the accused was caught and thrashed by the residents, another incident of snatching was reported in Nabha of Patiala district on Thursday broad daylight in which the snatchers had snatched a purse from elderly woman.


The victim woman happens to be mother of a late DSP who allegedly committed suicide by his own service revolver last year.


The victim Paramjit Kaur claimed that she had returned from a bank after withdrawing the cash of Rs 16,000 which she kept in her purse and hired an e-rickshaw to reach home.

She said that the accused followed her and managed to snatch the money – bag at the gate of her house. There are two gunmen allotted to the victim woman after the death of her son but before they could come out the snatchers managed to escape.
