AMRITSAR: A Pakistani intruder was shot dead by Border Security Force (
BSF) troops while attempting to cross into Indian territory on Sunday night.
The incident occurred near the border village of Mahwa in Amritsar district, informed sources.
Sources further informed that the intruder, believed to be in his mid-20s, was trying to breach the border fence when BSF troops noticed his suspicious movements.
Despite being challenged and warned by the troops, he ignored their warnings and continued to advance toward Indian territory, following which the BSF personnel opened fire and killed him.
