AMRITSAR:
Border Security Force (BSF) recovered seven kilogram of heroin from near India-Pakistan international border in Amritsar sector on Saturday.
Deputy Inspector General Sanjeev Bhanot informed that a BSF’s patrolling party in the area of Bharopal border out post spotted suspicious movement near the international border and challenged the smugglers.
But when the Pak intruders didn’t stop BSF troops opened fire following which they fled back to Pakistan taking advantage of thick blanket of fog he said .
Bhanot informed that during search of the area, BSF troops recovered 7 packets of contraband adding that with the latest recovery, BSF had seized a total of 230 kgs of Heroin during current year from near Indo Pak international border in Punjab.
