AMRITSAR: Lieutenant General K J Singh, general officer commanding-in-chief, Western Command felicitated two residents of Dinanagar on Saturday for detecting five IEDs on the Amritsar-Pathankot rail line and informing the authorities.
Darshan Kumar, gateman (special carts) of Indian Railways, and Satpal were honoured at Tiger Division headquarters in Jammu.

Satpal was honoured with the Army commander's commendation card also. On July 27, when the terrorists struck at Dinanagar town of Gurdaspur, these two were instrumental in saving the lives of hundreds of train passengers by detecting five IEDs planted on the railway track on the Amritsar-Pathankot route.
