Actress Sonia Mann claims she is getting death threats for speaking against Deep Sidhu

' protest for many days, has got a threat to her life.

Sonia had spoken against Punjabi actor Deep Sidhu after the happenings at Red Fort on Republic Day. She says she has got the threat for speaking against Deep Sidhu. Sonia’ father Baldev Mann was gunned down on September 26, 1990 at Amritsar when she was only 16 days old.

Thirty Years Actor turned activist Sonia on Friday said that she has got a death threat from a private number wherein she was asked not to speak against Deep or she will have to face dire consequences.

Sonia Mann’ father was a left wing activist and writer. He was also raising voice for farmers.

Sonia Mann said that she is at Tikri border for the last many days in support of farmer protest. They were protesting in peaceful manner but the happenings on Republic Day has defamed them. The Tricolor, which we had got after making many sacrifices by the likes of Bhagat Singh,

, should be respected at all. Though we did nothing for lowering the prestige of Tricolor but we were branded as anti national only due to handiwork of some persons including Deep Sidhu. When she raised voice, she got a threat call from supporters of Sidhu”. She said such persons could shut her mouth but how they could shut the mouths of many who are raising voice against Deep Sidhu. Earlier her father was gunned down for raising voice. She is daughter of farmer and social activist and not fear from such threats. We only want that the farm laws should be withdrawn and nothing less than that is acceptable to farmers, who get inspiration from Bhagat Singh.

On the death anniversary of her father, Sonia Mann on September 26, 2019 had written an emotional letter to her late father remembering her contribution in society.
