Vice President Venkaiah Naidu visits Tirumala temple

TIRUMALA: The Vice President, M Venkaiah Naidu visited the temple of Lord Venkateswara at

Tirumala

on Tuesday.


The Vice President, speaking to media after darshan outside Tirumala shrine, said that he came along with his family to thank the presiding deity on the successful completion of his one year tenure on the coveted post.

"I have been coming to Tirumala like a common man since my childhood. It gives me new energy and instills confidence in me to execute my responsibilities with more commitment. I prayed to Lord for the well-being of the nation and prosperity of the people", he added.

The Vice President had darshanam of Lord through Vaikuntham Queue Complex like common pilgrims.

Earlier, he was accorded a warm welcome by TTD EO Sri Anil Kumar Singhal and Tirumala JEO Sri KS Sreenivasa Raju on his arrival at Mahadwaram. The temple pundits offered the dignitary traditional Isthikaphal swagatham.

After darshan, the Vice President and his entourage were offered Vedasirvachanam in Ranganayakula Mandapam. Later Teertha prasadams, 2019 calendar, diaries and laminated photos of Lord were also presented.

offered prayers at the hill shrine of Lord Venkateswara on Tuesday.

The CM of neighbouring state took part in Astadalapada Padmaradhana Seva of Lord Venkateswara.

Earlier on his arrival, he was welcomed by TTD EO Sri Anil Kumar Singhal.

Later, he was offered Vedasirvachanam in Ranganayakula Mandapam by vedic pandits. The TTD EO offered him Theertha Prasadams and laminated photo of Lord Venkateswara.
