Addressing the meeting, chief justice Ramana said that Bharath Biotech produced covaxin is working well against the dreaded Covid-19. He said that it was a proud moment for the entire Telugu community as the covaxin was proved as a scientific miracle on the global vaccine market. “When the multinational companies and developed nations were working overtime to create hurdles to the release of covaxin, it was unfortunate that people from Telugu states have also tried to extend support to the rivals instead of backing the Telugu innovation,” said Justice Ramana.
He said that covaxin had finally proved its metal only due to the confidence of Bharath biotech founders Dr Krishna Ella and Dr Suchitra Ella on the research capabilities of their team. He said that recent studies proved that covaxin is also effective against the new variants of Covid-19.
Justice Ramana said that Dr Krishna Ella and Dr Suchitra Ella faced many odds after returning to India from the US. However, the couple braved the odds only to serve the mother India, lauded Justice Ramana. He had also praised Dr Mastan Yadav for serving several top judicial officers of India.
