Telugu people should be proud of achievements of fellow Telugus: CJI Justice NV Ramana

AMARAVATI: Chief Justice of India, Justice NV Ramana has called upon the

Telugu

people to extend support to each other for the prosperity of the entire Telugu community. He said that Telugu people should be proud of their achievements and they should not try to drag their own people into controversies.

Justice Ramana was addressing a meeting organised by Ramineni Foundation (USA) in Hyderabad on Thursday.

Addressing the meeting, chief justice Ramana said that Bharath Biotech produced covaxin is working well against the dreaded Covid-19. He said that it was a proud moment for the entire Telugu community as the covaxin was proved as a scientific miracle on the global vaccine market. “When the multinational companies and developed nations were working overtime to create hurdles to the release of covaxin, it was unfortunate that people from Telugu states have also tried to extend support to the rivals instead of backing the Telugu innovation,” said Justice Ramana.

He said that covaxin had finally proved its metal only due to the confidence of Bharath biotech founders Dr Krishna Ella and Dr Suchitra Ella on the research capabilities of their team. He said that recent studies proved that covaxin is also effective against the new variants of Covid-19.

Justice Ramana said that Dr Krishna Ella and Dr Suchitra Ella faced many odds after returning to India from the US. However, the couple braved the odds only to serve the mother India, lauded Justice Ramana. He had also praised Dr Mastan Yadav for serving several top judicial officers of India. He complimented television anchor Suma for becoming a household name in Telugu status despite being born in a

Malayali

family. Telugu man Bandlamudi Srinivas set up the trust in Shirdi and served food to thousands of devotees every day.

“Bramhanandam should not be treated as a comedian. He is a versatile actor. He rose to the top only through struggle,” said Justice Ramana. He complimented Nabard chairman Dr GR Chintala for taking bold initiatives to help the farming sector hit by the covid-19. He said that Telugu people were none to others in any sector.
