NELLORE: In a shocking incident, a 22-year-old student was found murdered outside his apartment complex at

in Buchireddipalem of Nellore district in the wee hours of Friday.
The deceased was identified as R
Vaibhav Reddy (22), a BTech final year student of
Venkateswara Rao Engineering College
at North Rajupalem.
According to sources, Vaibhav Reddy was found lying in a pool of blood outside the compound wall of his apartment building on the intervening night of Thursday and Friday. Soon after the watchman discovered his body, he informed Vaibhav Reddy’s father
Srinivas Reddy
who, in turn, called the police.
Police rushed to the place and found that Vaibhav Reddy’s body bore multiple injuries including a big wound on his forehead.
“We are trying to unearth more clues that would lead to the arrest of the assailants. We shall nab the culprits soon,” circle inspector Subba Rao told TOI.
The police suspect that the murder must have been committed by someone familiar to the victim and that it could be the handiwork of someone known to him in college.
Meanwhile, Vaibhav’s body was sent to the local government hospital for a post-mortem.
A case was registered under IPC Section 302 (murder). Investigation is on.
