CBI arrests Gajjala Uday Kumar Reddy in YS Viveka murder case

TIRUPATI: The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) sleuths arrested Gajjala Uday Kumar Reddy in connection with the YS Vivekananda Reddy murder case on Friday.


Uday Kumar Reddy was first picked up by the CBI sleuths for questioning from his residence at Pulivendula on Friday morning. He was taken to the prison guesthouse at Kadapa for questioning.

Later, the CBI sleuths confirmed his arrest to Uday's family members and made arrangements to present him before the CBI court at Hyderabad for further course of action.

Uday's father Jayaprakash Reddy, who is facing allegations of covering up the injuries on YS Vivekananda Reddy's body with a band-aid, is also being questioned by the CBI sleuths.

Uday Kumar Reddy who works at the Tummalapalli uranium factory, was questioned several times by the CBI in the past.

According to sources, he was one among the early birds to reach the crime scene after the YS Vivekananda Reddy murder came to light. It is learnt that the CBI sleuths got his presence there confirmed with the help of Google Takeout.
