TIRUPATI: The high-voltage annual Brahmotsavams of Lord Venkateswara which is considered a crowd-puller festival is all set to be celebrated with utmost pomp and gaiety this year at Tirumala.
It may be recalled that the 9-day annual festival remained a closed door affair in 2020 and 2021 without the participation of devotees and without even a single procession hitting the four mada streets due to the outbreak of the Covid-19 pandemic.
However, in what could be some great news to cheer for the devotees of Lord Venkateswara, Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams is gearing up for the grand conduct of the Srivari annual Brahmotsavams this year.
TTD EO AV Dharma Reddy who held the first Brahmotsavam review this year at Annamayya Bhavan at Tirumala on Friday, felt that this year the pilgrim influx to the 9-day annual Brahmotsavams could be very high as the festival is being conducted after a gap of two years.
"Srivari Salakatla Brahmotsavams will commence with the celestial Dwajarohanam fete to be held on September 27 and will conclude with the Chakrasnanam fete to be held on October 4. All key departments have been directed to make elaborate arrangements for the mega festival this year", TTD EO asserted.
The temple administration specifically reviewed the arrangements to be in place for the most important Garuda Seva
procession which is set to be observed on October 1st this year.
"The Garuda seva procession coincides with the Purattasi month Saturday which is considered very auspicious by the Tamil speaking devotees of Lord Venkateswara. Hence there will be a higher turnout of devotees for the Garuda seva and fool-proof security measures have to be implemented jointly by the TTD vigilance and security wing in coordination with the Tirupati urban police wing", AV Dharma Reddy noted.
And as per the customary practice, Chief minister
YS Jagan Mohan Reddy will present the pattu vastrams on behalf of the state government of Andhra Pradesh on the first day of the annual Brahmotsavams on September 27.
Meanwhile, the TTD administration has announced well in advance that all kinds of privileged darshan for the physically challenged, senior citizens and the VIP break darshan and arjitha sevas on recommendation letters will remain suspended during the annual Brahmotsavams.
TTD EO AV Dharma Reddy appealed to the devotees to make note of the same and make their Tirupati visit plans during the annual Brahmotsavams accordingly.
TTD JEOs Sada Bhargavi, V Veerabrahmam, CVSO D Narasimha Kishore and other officials were present.
