Andhra Pradesh: Pharmacy graduate booked for circulating abusive content against political institutions

TIRUPATI:The Annamayya district police have arrested a pharmacy graduate for making derogatory posts and circulating abusive content against political institutions and leaders on Tuesday.


Chinta Sudarshan, a native of Vathalur in Pullampeta mandal of Annamayya district, had worked in a couple of companies in Hyderabad and is currently staying at his Rajampeta home.

He was found to have come into contact with a political follower and got into a WhatsApp group. He was entrusted with the task of sharing derogatory content to 120-150 people/groups and was paid an amount of Rs.8000 per month as salary.

According to the police, he has also created multiple email ids with different names and fake Facebook ids, some of them impersonating female profiles. Some of the fake profiles used by him are Sudha Chintha, Sudarsan Chinta, Sukanya Ganta, Ashmita Reddy, Mounika Reddy, Nikitha Reddy.

The cops also found him to have created a Facebook page named ‘Chitra Lahari’ (which has since been blocked for violating community standards) to post derogatory messages from the email id chitralahari90@gmail.com.

The police have registered a case in Cr.No.309/2023 u/s 153(A) and 505 IPC and also seized a mobile phone from his possession.
