Andhra Pradesh assembly elections: Pawan Kalyan dismisses Jaganmohan Reddy charge of supporting TDP

VIJAYAWADA: Janasena president Pawan Kalyan continued to attack YSR Congress in his roadshows and public meetings in Krishna district on Sunday. The actor-turned-politician addressed meetings at Kaikaluru, Bantumilli, Pedana, Machilipatnam, and Avanigadda assembly constituencies. At a public meet, Pawan Kalyan targeted YSRC president YS Jaganmohan Reddy and Vijaya Sai Reddy for hitting out against Jana Sena.

“YSRC should stop Pulivendula politics in Amaravati. YSRC candidates are brand ambassadors for corruption. Former CBI joint director V V Lakshminarayana is an example of honest candidates selected by Jana Sena,” Pawan said. Continuing his attack, Pawan said he would not tolerate interference of Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) and its chief K Chandrasekhar Rao (KCR) in Andhra Pradesh politics. “Jagan has no guts to select candidates of his own. Majority of YSRC candidates are picked by KCR and given B-forms in Hyderabad. Both Jagan and Chandrababu Naidu are afraid of KCR as they have huge assets in Telangana,” said Pawan.

Shooting down allegations of supporting TDP, Pawan Kalyan said YSRC and the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) were using their own media to make baseless allegations against Jana Sena. Pawan announced a pension of Rs 5,000 per month to fishermen above the age of 58 years. He asked women to support him to get free LPG gas cylinder and Rs 3000 per month under the direct cash transfer scheme.
