Youth shoots self

ALLAHABAD: A 21-year old youth identified as Naval Kishore Yadav, a resident of Madaripur committed suicide by shooting himself by the license DBBL of his father at his house under Kareli police circle here on Friday. Police said that the victim was mentally challenged.
Station Officer, Kareli police station told TOI that the victim had initiated the extreme step when he was all alone at home.
SO added that family members told police that youth was depressed due to mental condition for long time. The body was later sent for post mortem examination.
Panic: Panic gripped Atala crossing and adjoining areas after a fire broke out at a lawyer's residence identified as Marghoov under Kareli police station here on Friday. The lawyer had sustained burn injuries in the incident.
Police, however, said that lawyer had accused some of his relatives alleging that they had made an abortive attempt to set him on fire following an old dispute. He also alleged that the rivals had forcibly locked him inside a room and later set it on fire. The lawyer somehow managed to escape and sustained burn injuries on his hand.
Station officer, Kareli police station told TOI they have been investigating the case and a case regarding the incident would be registered after investigations.
