Woman’s body found hanging from tree in Pratapgarh village

Prayagraj: The body of a 20-year-old woman was found hanging from a tree, around 300 metres from her house, in Kakraha Miriya village under the limits of Manikpur police station of Pratapgarh district on Sunday. The woman reportedly passed her intermediate exams this year.Upon being alerted, senior police officials, including DSP (Kunda) Amarnath Gupta, along with forces and forensic experts, arrived at the spot and initiated investigations.Initial police investigations claimed that the body was hung outside the village after killing the woman. The body has been sent for post-mortem to ascertain the cause of death.Family members said that the woman went to sleep after having dinner with them on Saturday night, and on the next morning, morning walkers spotted the body hanging from the tree.
