ALLAHABAD: After announcing its plans to host a two-day ‘Dharam Sansad’ on the banks of Ganga from January 31 during the
Kumbh-2019
, the
Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) would invite film actors, sportspersons and other known faces from India Inc to attend its camp during the Mela.
VHP office-bearers and volunteers from 40 different countries like like Sri Lanka, Indonesia, Bhutan, Nepal and Bangladesh are expected to attend its camp to be set up at the Mela ground.
VHP’s spokesperson (Prayagraj), Ashwani Mishra, said, “VHP has drafted a plan to organise a series of events like the Dharam Sansad.” Mishra said that the conclave would be attended by over 5,000 saints from across the country and would be discussing issues like cow protection, restoration of Ganga and construction of Ram temple in Ayodhya.
