PRATAPGARH: Make
Narendra Modi Prime Minister for third consecutive term, elect Vinod Kumar as Kaushambi MP for the third consecutive time and defeat SP, BSP and
Congress as in 2014 and 2019, were "three hat-tricks" Union minister
Amit Shah sought from voters in Kaushambi, while addressing a public rally at Heeraganj Nagar panchayat, Kunda in Pratapgarh district on Sunday.
He came down heavily on Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav for "politics over Covid vaccination" and said only Prime Minister Modi could have tackled the Covid pandemic so perfectly and to safeguard people's lives.
He said Yogi-led state govt had eradicated mafia raj and brought overall development in UP.
He also said Prime Minister Modi had put to end Maoism and terrorism and initiated security and safety across the country. He also accused the Congress of creating "obstacles" in building lord Ram temple in Ayodhya for 70 years while Modi constructed it in mere five years.
He accused rival camps like SP and Congress leaders for not attending 'pran pratishtha' (consecration) ceremony at Ayodhya, fearing backlash of their vote bank and targeted two "shehdaze" (princes) -Akhilesh Yadav and Rahul Gandhi- claiming they say they would bring back
article 370 whenever they came to power.
"Pakistan-occupied Kashmir is an integral part of India and we will take it back. Rahul Gandhi may be scared of (Pakistan's) atom bombs, but we are not," said Shah, adding that INDIA bloc leaders like Jammu and Kashmir ex-CM Farooq Abdullah and Congress veteran Mani Shankar Aiyar were talking about showing respect to Pakistan because of its nuclear power. "Does PoK not belong to us? We will act decisively and take back PoK," he said.
"Kharge-ji (Congress president and Leader of Opposition in Rajya Sabha, Mallikarjun Kharge) questioned what people of UP and Rajasthan have to do with Kashmir. Kharge Saheb, perhaps, does not know that every child of Kaushambi cares as much about Jammu and Kashmir and people here can even lay down their lives for it. It was Modi ji, who paved the way for making Kashmir an integral part of the country after making Article 370 history," said Shah.
In an unsparing attack on the Congress over its alleged handling of the Jammu and Kashmir issue and not settling it decisively during decades of its being in power at the Centre, Shah said the Congress party held on to Article 370 and "cradled it like a baby on mother's lap" but the Centre, under leadership of Modi, revoked it on Aug 5, 2019.
He went on to question who would become the prime minister from INDIA bloc if voted to power and said, "If people promise not to laugh, can I ask, will Rahul Gandhi become the prime minister? A journalist asked an INDIA bloc member who would be their PM, and he replied, members of INDIA bloc would take turns to be the PM."
