PRAYAGRAJ: Two elderly men were killed when the bike carrying them was hit by a car on Prayagraj-Reewa highway under the limits of Bara police station in trans-Yamuna area on Sunday. The deceased, identified as Sehat Kesarwani (70) and Bihari Lal Agrahari (65), were residents of Garaiya Kala and Kaudhiyara, respectively. Meanwhile, Pratapgarh police on Sunday arrested a man, Mahendra Saroj (36) and his mother Rekha (55), of village Singahi in a dowry death case. Cops said that an FIR was registered on the complaint of the brother of a woman who alleged that his sister was married to Mahendra Saroj in 2020 but her husband and in-laws were harassing her for Rs 2 lakh dowry. On April 17, his sister was found dead .
