SP workers protest against NEET paper leak, inflation
Prayagraj: Scores of Samajwadi Party members on Tuesday staged a protest against BJP-led Union and state govt over public issues including inflation, rising fuel prices, including domestic LPG cooking gas, paper leaks, dilapidated condition of roads in urban areas, low-voltage power supply and the rising atrocities cases against women. The protesters submitted a a memorandum addressed to the Governor.
Party spokesman Daan Bahadur Madhur said “ Due to the anti-people policies of both the central and state governments, the common public is compelled to bear the brunt of inflation. The continuous rise in the prices of petrol, diesel, and cooking gas has completely disrupted the household budgets of the poor, farmers, laborers, students, employees, and middle-class families. Meanwhile, the abated incidents of paper leaks in competitive examinations are casting a dark shadow over the future of the children and youths, leading to widespread despair among millions of unemployed young people.
SP leaders alleged that in several urban areas across the state—including Prayagraj—roads are riddled with potholes, while issues such as low voltage and other power-related problems are affecting lives of the people. Moreover, rising incidents of crime against women raises serious questions regarding the state’s law and order situation.
Through the memorandum, SP demanded measures to control inflation, initiate strict action to prevent paper leaks, undertake immediate repair of damaged roads, improve power supply infrastructure and ensure security of women.
