RPF constables help woman deliver twins at Subedarganj stn

Prayagraj: Thanks to two women constables of RPF (railway protection force) at Subedarganj railway station in Prayagraj, a woman safely delivered twins on platform no 6, on Sunday.

Jyoti Kumari, 25, resident of Korona in Bhadohi, was travelling on the Patna special train when she suddenly experienced labour pains, causing an emergency situation. A co-passenger alerted the RPF staff on duty and they rushed to help.

The RPF constables, along with other women staff, rushed to the platform no 6 and called an ambulance. Seeing her condition, the two women constables of RPF, Suman Yadav and Priyanka, took help of other women staff at the railway station and managed the delivery of a baby boy and girl. Meanwhile, a woman nurse from central railway hospital rushed to the spot and gave primary treatment. The woman and the babies were later shifted to Dufferin hospital.
