Prayagraj: Railway authorities at the Prayagraj Junction have introduced new parking, entry and exit rules for passengers due to redevelopment work on the city side of the station. The changes came into effect from Friday and will remain in force until further notice.
Under the newly revised system, key facilities have been shifted to designated passenger shelters.
Shelter No 2 has been assigned for four-wheeler parking, while Shelter No 3 will be used for two-wheeler parking along with the unreserved ticket counter. Shelter No 4 has been designated as the reserved ticket booking centre.
There were also significant changes in entry and exit routes. Gates 1, 3 and 4 are now exclusively for pedestrians. Vehicles entering for parking must use Gate No 2.
Additionally, a "drop and go" system has been implemented at Gates 5 and 6 to allow quick passenger drop-offs and reduce crowding. The new system has been put in place temporarily to ensure smoother movement and reduce congestion at the station.
