Physical verification of routes done for Maha Kumbh

Prayagraj: A physical verification of the city streets was conducted as a part of the crowd management plan to be implemented for smooth flow of traffic and crowd management during Maha Kumbh-2025.
A team of senior police officials, including Additional DG (Prayagraj zone) Bhanu Bhaskar, IG (Prayagraj range) Prem Kumar Gautam, and Commissioner (Prayagraj) Tarun Gauba, inspected Kydganj and adjoining areas on Wednesday.
ADG told TOI that adequate police and mobile teams will be stationed at static points, he added. Senior officers have also discussed hotel and multi-level parking slots and further asked the owners/management of hotels, inns, and Swiss cottages to install a CCTV network for the security of visitors. All hotels and Swiss cottage camps will maintain visitor registers along with maintaining fire safety, emergency exit, medical kit, and electric safety norms. Hotels have also been asked to install baggage scanners and metal detectors. Foreigners will have to submit Form C mandatorily. tnn
