The Allahabad High Court on Monday issued notices to the Central Film Sensor Board, Amir Khan, The Economic Times and lyrist on a PIL seeking ban on the controversial Amir Khan movie song 'Delhi-Belly'.

ALLAHABAD: The Allahabad High Court on Monday issued notices to the Central Film Sensor Board, Amir Khan, The Economic Times and lyrist on a PIL seeking ban on the controversial Amir Khan movie song 'Delhi-Belly'.
The court has asked the Union government, through the ministry of information and broadcasting and other respondents, to file a counter-affidavit in this case.

The order was passed by a division bench if Justice Imtiyaz Murtaza and Justice Jayashree Tiwari after hearing the counsel for the petitioner and also the state government.
According to the PIL, song 'DK Bose' of Amir Khan's movie 'Delhi-Belly' is obscene and objectionable. It will cause adverse effect on the society and also on young minds, the PIL contended.
The petitioner has requested the court to direct the authorities to ban and also not to broadcast the song
