Legal aid camp held in Soraon village
Prayagraj: The Legal Aid Society of Dr Rajendra Prasad National Law University (RPNLU), Prayagraj, in association with the District Legal Service Authority (DLSA), Prayagraj, organised a legal aid camp in the village of Malaak Chaudhari in Soraon Tehsil of the district. The event was part of the university's ongoing efforts to ensure access to justice for the marginalised and underprivileged sections of society. A team of students, guided by faculty members helped the villagers. The primary objective of the camp was to raise awareness about the availability of free legal services offered by the govt and judicial bodies, empowering villagers with knowledge of their rights and access to justice. The The team detailed various social welfare schemes initiated by the govt which could be utilised by the villagers.Secretary of the DLSA, Dinesh Gautam, elucidated the role of the association in facilitating access to justice for those unable to afford legal representation, inviting the villagers to visit the DLSA office for assistance. Adding further depth to the outreach, Tehsildar, Soraon, Rajesh Kumar Pal, detailed how these schemes could be accessed and availed by the local community, urging villagers to take full advantage of the benefits provided.
