Cops clueless as youth Cong puts up anti-Kanhaiya poster
Allahabad: A controversial poster by Youth Congressmen against JNU student leader Kanhaiya Kumar came up at Civil Lines on Thursday even as police said they did not know about it.The poster bears the names of Youth Congress, Allahabad, leaders Jitendra Tiwari and Farooq Khan who have directed their anger at Kanhaiya for allegedly making derogatory remarks against the Army . The poster in Hindi reads, “Kanhaiya Hum Sharminda Hai, Tu Bharat Mai Zinda Hai, Sainik Hamari Jaan Hai, Woh Bharat Ki Shaan Hai, Jis Din Tujhko Marenge, Chhatra Kalank Utarange (We are ashamed that you are still alive in India. Soldiers are our pride and students owe it to them to teach you a lesson).“Jitendra Tiwari, Youth Congress president, said, “We are with Kanhaiya but could not tolerate his deroga tory remarks against armymen.“A senior police officer said, “Action will be taken against those responsible for putting up such a poster if it creates a law and order problem.“
