JHANSI: Chaos prevailed due to traffic jams on Saturday, when
Congress and SP candidates filed nominations almost at the same time. Thousands of workers came on road in the form of a rallies for the nomination of
Samajwadi Party candidate Chandrapal Singh Yadav and Congress contestant Pradeep Jain Aditya.
The two candidates reached the collectorate around 2.00pm, creating chaos all over.
The coincidence of time was due to the 'mahurat' (auspicious time), which they were following. Both of them entered the returning officer's room at the same time but without paying attention to each other. They completed the formalities and returned back.
Talking to reporters later, minister Om Prakash Singh said that the statement of Bukhari has no value and it should not be taken seriously.
This time, all the four candidates seem to be in the grip of 'mahurat'. On Friday, BJP's
Uma Bharti and BSP's Anuradha Sharma filed nominations at the auspicious moments.
