ALLAHABAD: Cerebral Palsy (CP) Day was celebrated in the premises of Reserve Police Lines in Allahabad on Saturday. Hundreds of children affected with cerebral palsy observed the day by participating in 'race of aspirations' and thereby challenging their physical limitations.
Sculptures and paintings made by CP children left visitors spell bound. They kept clapping and appreciating the work of these children.
These children also participated in various sports activities.
This event with the theme - race of aspirations - was organised by Samvedna Trust in collaboration with Uttar Pradesh police, Allahabad. The programme was inaugurated by IG Zone Braj Bhushan, commissioner Rajan Shukla and secretary Samvedna Dr JK Jain.
Department of health, transport and social welfare had also put up stalls to make the public aware of the ailment. More than 70 parents got disability certificates made for their children.
