BJP demands rollback of hike in power tariff

ALLAHABAD: The members of the women wing of the Bharatiya Janata Party, on Wednesday, demanded the rollback of hike in power tariff immediately.
District president, Suman Goswami, chairing a meeting of the party workers said, the state government had hiked the power tariff up to 45% which would add to the woes of common people . Leaders said the hike would also affect crop production leading to a hike in the cost of the crops and cereals too.The leaders demanded the state government to reconsider the issue and roll back the hiked tariffs.
The leaders said they would launch an agitation against the hike if their demand were not met at the earliest. Tnn
The meeting was attended by Satya Tiwari, Seema Dwivedi, Sunita Tiwari, Saroj Srivastava, Shyamkali Bharatiya, Suman Bharatiya, Rupa Nishad, Badama Pal and others.
