Allahabad University (AU) vice chancellor on Monday felicitated two of its eminent retired faculty members on Teachers’ Day and lauded their role in shaping career of many students.

Prayagraj: Allahabad University (AU) vice chancellor on Monday felicitated two of its eminent retired faculty members on Teachers’ Day and lauded their role in shaping career of many students. A glittering function was organised at the Vizianagram Hall of Allahabad University to celebrate the occasion. VC Sangita Srivastava presented shawl and mementos to (retd) prof Manmohan Krishna and (retd) prof LDS Yadav for their contribution towards the field of education.

“A teacher is the builder of the nation. Scholarly and loving behaviour towards students is what makes a teacher great,” she said.
Recalling the old days, prof Krishna said: “Even when we (AU) had less resources, many teachers did world-class work. If there is a passion to work and to achieve the goal, then even mountain makes way.” Prof Yadav said he has had short stints with many foreign universities but the kind of attachment he shared with AU was unparalleled.
