Allahabad University entrance test results by June 9

ALLAHABAD: Allahabad University’s admissions cell is now busy wrapping up preparations for counselling of students after conducting entrance tests for various undergraduate and postgraduate courses.
AU (admissions) director, Prof Manmohan Krishna, said, “We would be announcing the results of entrance tests by June 9 and will kick off the admission process from June 18.” Krishna said the university needs around 15 days to complete the admission process and expects to wrap up a chunk of the procedure by July 5.Meanwhile, authorities are receiving a number of requests from students for a chance to correct wrong entries in application forms.
“Several candidates have approached us to allow them to correct small mistakes like wrong spellings of names or date of birth. We are entertaining such requests, while keeping Aadhaar the base for authenticating details of students,” he added.
“However, we are not allowing students to change their category,” Krishna said. AU’s counselling process would be conducted offline given the number of subject combinations. “Each student will have to come to Pravesh Bhawan, submit their choices. He or she would be allotted a subject combination on the basis of merit and availability of seats,” he added.
