Allahabad MP suggests majorinfra upgrades
Prayagraj: Member of Parliament from Allahabad Ujjwal Raman Singh inspected the stretch from Leprosy crossing to Manda Road in Prayagraj and offered key suggestions to officials of the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) to improve infrastructure and reduce public inconvenience.During the visit, the MP recommended constructing an elevated road from Leprosy crossing up to Saraswati Hi-Tech City to prevent damage to houses and shops in Naini due to road widening. He also suggested developing a major junction at Saraswati Hi-Tech to connect it with the Inner Ring Road. Additionally, he proposed widening the Mungari toll plaza to ease traffic flow.To address frequent congestion on Meja Road, Singh emphasised the need for bypasses through areas such as Katholi, Janwar, Bandhwa, Delhawa, Pausiya, Amora, Lakhanpur and Bisjan.MP representative Vinay Kushwaha said two major proposals were also put forward, including construction of a riverfront highway (Ganga Path) from Arail to Mirzapur along the Ganga, which would face minimal land acquisition issues and help control flood damage. Another proposal included building elevated flyovers across markets between Naini and Mirzapur to minimise disruption during road expansion.
