15 kids take ill after midday meal in Prayagraj school

Prayagraj: More than 15 students fell ill after consuming mid-day meal at a primary school in Koraon area of Prayagraj on Wednesday. They were rushed to the community health centre in Koraon by ambulances.Soon after taking the mid-day meal, students started complaining of stomach ache, nausea and dizziness. Sensing trouble, the school authorities alerted doctors at the community health centre in Koraon.Chief medical officer, Prayagraj, Dr AK Tiwari told TOI that that a team of doctors from the CHC rushed to the school and examined the kids and go them admitted to the health facility. By evening, 10 students were discharged from the CHC. The treatment of five kids is underway and their condition was stated to be stable.
